Wanganègès was born from a desire to bring together worlds that are often kept apart — contemporary fashion, philosophy, Christian spirituality, Haitian culture, and questions of identity.

We believe clothing can carry more than an image. It can carry a memory, an idea, a spiritual intuition, a cultural symbol — a way of standing in the world.

The Name

Wanganègès evokes the Haitian hummingbird: movement, beauty, and resilience. A creature that carries something powerful within a delicate form. Freedom that does not announce itself — it simply is.

For us, the name holds that same quality: a presence that is light, intentional, and full.

Our first collection, MAGIS — Collection 2027, draws from Ignatian spirituality: the call to go further, to act with purpose, to carry an inner fire into the world.
